Given the fact that Microsoft recently shut down their gointeract services and made it much harder for getting CID and all the sites that once provided free CID now transitioning to paid CID (auto call) services does anyone know the reason behind it? Why did they chose to do it now and not a few years ago? For all I could remember gointeract service had been up for the last couple of years or even longer. Maybe this is part of their plan to transition to full Subscription based services? Heard something about Office 2021 will be the last Perpetual One-Time Purchase license that Microsoft will offer.
Will the future of getting CID be paid or free for the long term?
And why is Telephony CID API services like (Auto Call) requires payment? To pay the developer or pay the backend services connecting the telephony api that makes the call? I understand previously it was all free because API is generally a free service doesn't require much resources unlike Auto Call Telephony API services.
Also, There are free open-source telephony services like Twillo, TextNow, etc. that provides free Telephone calls to a number just like you would do when calling the Microsoft hotline from your phone, It just doesn't have the IVR technology needed to recognize the hotline's automated recaptcha code to verify it. Do you think the developers out there would be able to somehow integrate it using a free telephony service so that getting CID will be completely free once again in the future?
